Our Founders

John Ng

Mr Ng is a graduate of the National School of Design in Melbourne majoring in video and interactive design. His experience extends from web to video production.

He lived in Melbourne for four years during his studies in which he produced several intriguing and exciting projects. One of his (at that time revolutionary) projects involved programming several reactive web cameras for a Flash game.

After returning to Singapore, he worked as a video editor and post-production motion effects artist for a production house. There he produced work for commercials and corporate videos.

In 2005, he co-founded Mezmedia with Mr Yeo. He has been the creative driving force behind the company, providing astute observations and input to his projects.

Mr Ng has been in the creative line for more than a decade, he has a deep interest in technology and their developments; he is an early-adopter constantly testing out new tech when they are just out. He loved designing new user experiences and interfaces during the nascent days of the web, before these disciplines became popularized as UI/UX.

Over the years, as the digital landscape evolved from web to mobile. Mr Ng has gained valuable experience along the way, and has consulted for a few entities with regards to app development, UI and UX design, testing, analytics, as well as security and encryption.

Sandy Yeo

Mr Yeo began as a self-taught graphic designer and illustrator, doing freelance work for creative agencies.

In 2001, Mr Yeo founded a graphic design company called Mezzotint Design. Together with several partners, the graphic design agency did projects for several companies; covering a wide variety of projects, from sports apparel designs to product packaging.

With a burgeoning interest for the internet, Mr Yeo taught himself web design and programming. His efforts allowed him to win first place in the 2001 Flashkit Competition.

In 2004, Mr Yeo joined a Taiwanese gaming company called Wayi. Wayi produced and managed large-scale Massive Multi-player Online Role-Playing Games (MMORPGs). He worked as a web and product packaging designer. He designed the community website and boxsets for their newly-launched MMORPG.

In 2005, along with a like-minded partner, he founded Mezmedia.  He has been project managing and consulting for Mezmedia ever since.

Mr Yeo has been in the industry for over a decade, his knowledge spans from illustration, graphic design, interactive to social media. He is a technological evangelist, paints and cooks in his spare time.

As the digital landscape changed over the years, moving from web to mobile, Mr Yeo has rode the wave of change as well. He is behind Mezmedia’s push to become a self-publishing interactive studio, creating educational apps and casual games for the global market.
